David Daniel is the author of nine novels and two short story collections. He teaches at Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School and is an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where he has served as the Jack Kerouac Visiting Writer in Residence.

His latest novel, Reunion, features Tom Knowles, a successful Hollywood writer who returns to the town of his youth to sell the family house and move his mother into an assisted living facility. While Tom’s in town, he learns that his high school class is having its 30th reunion, and, without much interest, he attends. Unexpectedly, he reconnects with faces from his past and the place he thought he had left behind. Conflicted by his growing involvement in the lives of his old friends and in the town itself, Tom must choose where he will find his reality — in Hollywood or in the past.

David Daniel was inspired to write Reunion after attending his own 40th reunion for the Weymouth High School class of 1963.
